I like it
There is only one other review right now for this mouse and it is negative, so I’m adding my positive. I replaced a Kensington optical wireless mouse with this one because I lost the USB receiver. It was my 3rd USB receiver because the first two quit working. I love this new mouse because of what it gives me that the old one did not:
1. A low profile USB receiver. My last one was too thick. On a laptop with stacked USB ports that means you couldn’t plug anything into your other USB port at the same time as the mouse. It sucked. This one solves that with a very thin receiver.
2. In-mouse storage of the USB receiver. Sweet. One less thing I have to dig out of my laptop case, because it is stored in the mouse. And now I can’t lose it.
3. When you store the USB receiver in the mouse, it turns the mouse off. My last mouse I had to hold down the scroll button and push a 2mm recessed button on the bottom at the same time to turn it off and on. What a pain that was. And many times it didn’t work (I’d get my mouse out the next morning only to see that the mouse was still on). Now I just use the spring loaded storage space for the USB receiver.
4. Easy battery replacement. The battery is in the same compartment as the USB receiver storage. My old mouse had a battery lid you had to practically break to get off. Plus it relied on proper fit of the lid to make electrical contact with the battery. I would often find that I would lose power because the lid would slightly move and the battery would lose contact. This new mouse has a contact that is independent from the storage lid.
5. Battery life. It only takes one AA compared to two AAA. It has already outlived my two AAA (about a week I used to get).
6. Range. It works from at least 10 ft. away. Any further away and I can’t see the laptop screen anyway.
7. NO SYNCING REQUIRED. Every f**king time I used the old optical mouse I had to press the button on the USB reciever, it would flash, I’d press that annoying recessed button on the bottom of the mouse, and the mouse would sync to the receiver. Sometimes. But pressing the button on the bottom required holding the mouse on the opposite side by the battery cover which would sometimes cause that whole loss of electrical contact problem. This new mouse requires no syncing. Plug the receiver in and it works. Sweet.
IMO, Kensington properly identified every weakness of the product they were replacing, and successfully addressed all the problems. Awesome. I’m buying one for my wife’s laptop. The only reason I give it 4 instead of 5 stars is because of the minute rocking thing that the other reviewer mentioned. I noticed it, too. It doesn’t bother me, but it could bother others I suppose. I’m often using my mouse on the sofa (soft surface), so it doesn’t rock. Only on hard surfaces.

Kensington mice are the best!
I’ve had my kensington si750m wireless laser notebook mouse for a few years but wanted to review it since it’s held up so well. I bought one for my mom I loved it so much. No problems and excellent battery life. Love the quiet scroll unlike logitech scroll wheels that are loud.
